In 2020, I had the pleasure of being featured in Living in Singapore by Andrea McKenna Brankin to share my thoughts on “Singapore Style”!
High Tea SSWA 2020
EVENT
I was honoured to talk about “How our image reflects on others” at the High Tea event held by the Spanish Speaking Women Association of Singapore (SSWA) on International Women’s Day in 2020.
During the session, I explained the different types of body shapes and how the colours we use daily influence how others perceive us.
I was surrounded by an amazing audience in the beautiful library of the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore. The venue provided an amazing backdrop with an enchanting atmosphere, creating a truly memorable event!
AWA Fashion Show 2019
EVENT
The fashion show of the American Women Association (AWA) is their biggest event every calendar year. As a member of AWA, I had the opportunity to be part of the organizational committee.
My role as image consultant and fashion designer was to scout designers for the fashion show, and we could attract very important designers to participate in the event. The models are volunteer members from AWA.
We selected 3 to 4 flattering outfits for each of the 21 models, matching their skin tone, and with the perfect fit for their body shape. When a person / model feels and looks well, the garment shines much more on the runway. Consequently, the model enjoys the moment, which ultimately helps the designer look and sell their products better.
We created over 90 different outfits.
It was a fantastic experience working with such talented designers like Sol y Mare, Akosée, Pink Salt, White Ginger, MAC Collection, The Girl with the Hat, Stones that Rock and Joseph Ribkoff.
Great team including all committee members and lots of fun!
Trunk Show 2017
EVENT
Partnering with Style for You, a Singaporean image consulting company, we organized a trunk show at the National Library of Singapore.
The fashion show was focused on young professional ladies. We asked local boutiques to display a collection of smart casual outfits.
My role was to identify the best outfit for each of our models according to their body shapes, skin tones and personal styles, making them feel confident and elegant.
We also organized booths, giving insights on colour, style personality, makeup and more.
It was a great event with 100 happy attendees!
